Creative Experience:

The Cathedral School is Townsville’s only Independent Anglican School for boys and girls from Kindergarten to Year 12 and boarding students from Year 7 to 12. My roles include content planning and development for social media and general marketing campaigns. This involves daily involvement in all areas of the school and interaction with various media outlets. Content production includes a combination of roles including video production & editing, photography, interviewing & reporting, copywriting & media releases, and graphic & web design.
January 2018 to December 2019
Creative Director for Vetta Productions.
During my two years at Vetta Productions I worked with a wide variety of local, state and Government organisations. My primary roles included Creative Direction, Videography & Editing with supporting roles in Social Media Content Production & Marketing, Web and Graphic Design, Photography and various forms of digital communications.
September 2015 to December 2017
Co-Creative Director of Akkordien, a Video Production agency I founded in Melbourne with Damian Visser, in 2012.
I began full-time with Akkordien in September 2015. After moving from Melbourne to Townsville in June 2016, I established a second office, working on a range of projects including TV Commercial production, online video, a documentary in Papua New Guinea, graphic design, web design and photography. I left Akkordien at the end of November 2017.
November 2009 to September 2015
Between 2009 and mid 2015 I worked with BTB Advertising, as Art Director, Graphic Designer, Photographer and Videographer/Editor.
With clients such as MAN & Western Star Trucks, MaxiTRANS and Patterson Cheney Group – the agency was very much a B2B specialist – producing campaigns utilising print, outdoor, video and digital. We were also among the first in the industry to specialise in App development for the B2B sector and introduced (to our B2B clients) progressive marketing campaigns such Social Media advertising, location based notification Apps and branded video productions.
BTB itself had itself progressed significantly over those six years, from being a primarily print based ad agency to a fully integrated digital production company.

The two years previous to my arrival in London were spent developing my own solo graphic design business ‘Halogen Design’, whilst also freelancing for other local Melbourne studios, in particular ‘Urchin Associates‘ in Fitzroy.
The diverse clientele at Urchin had allowed me to work with names such as Fosters, Sensis, Melbourne Film Organisation, Quiksilver, Roxy and Subaud Magazine (Featured in ‘Design Nation’, compilation of Aus Designers).
My own clients at Halogen Design ranged from local landscapers to larger nationals such as Macmillan Publishing and Equity Trustees. I was also contracted in 2005 on a new national food and lifestyle magazine (Regional Food) as assistant Art Director, completing the first two issues with great reviews.

The majority of our work was specialised custom publishing with day-to-day tasks including client liaison, art direction, photography co-ordination, design & layout etc through to pre-press, print and delivery. Although our company size was small with four people, we developed long-term relationships with blue-chip clients such as ANZ.
